Lighthouse Point is a small town conveniently located between Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton with a current population of 10,946. The east door opens to the Intracoastal Waterway and Federal Highway is the west door. Incorporated in 1956, the City has very few remaining vacant lots. Ninety-five percent of the City is developed and most homes fall into the upper-medium and top tier price range. Of the residences, 80% are single-family homes, many of which front on the City’s 18 miles of waterways.
This idyllic location along the ocean’s shore makes this an attractive community for watersports enthusiasts. For the discerning mariner, the estates situated on the Intracoastal Waterway are desirable for yachters and boaters, who may park their vessels at their private dock in this low-wake zone. For yachtsman and boating enthusiasts, the Lighthouse Point Yacht Club combines the advantages of minutes by boat from the Intracoastal Waterway and the Hillsboro Inlet leading to the Atlantic Ocean combining the advantages of three into one. The Marina accommodates 78 slips for sport-fishing craft and yachts from 30 to 120 feet with 30-, 50-, and 100- amp service on an annual or seasonal basis. Attentive dock staff is available to meet your sport-fishing and power boating needs.
In addition to the excellent Marina facilities, the Club offers a superb tennis program with genuine Har-Tru clay courts. Amenities and activities include a restaurant and party areas, fitness center and spa, heated Junior Olympic size pool as well as on-site tennis, health, fitness and swim professionals with the Club’s personal service.
A major commitment of money, it has been invested in renovation and improved state-of-the-art facilities for family and single members of this modern, private club. Renovations are scheduled to begin mid-2019 . The Club will remain open to its members during the improvement phases.
For the security conscious, the Police and fire protection are excellent. As an additional layer of security for this community there is a system of 44 cameras strategically placed throughout the municipality which take snapshots of the license plate of every car that passes through the town. No automobile can enter or leave the City without being captured on video…adding even more ‘peace of mind’ for the residents.
Light House Point has numerous nearby medical practitioners and hospitals providing excellent care for the residents and there are exceptional public and private schools serving the community.
