Lauderdale Beach is a small, exclusive luxury beachfront community in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. It stretches north and south from Oakland Park to 23rd Street and east to west, A1A to the Ocean (officially Atlantic Blvd). The neighborhood has 49 oceanfront homes and approximately 200 other homes that offer beach access through Loggerhead Park, Vista Park and a handful of public access points.

Here in Lauderdale Beach select homeowner’s have unique access to the beach right outside their back door. Homes with direct beach access just a few feet away are rare in Fort Lauderdale. Very few communities have it, making Lauderdale Beach all the more desirable. This is one of the very few communities where homeowners can live directly on the sand and truly ‘walk out their back door’ to the ocean.

As Lauderdale Beach grows, visitors will see signs of new development and revitalization. A popular practice is to purchase an older oceanfront home and overhaul the entire house. For some this means tearing down the existing home and building new. No matter which option matches your preferences, a property with unbelievably majestic ocean views is your reward.

Most oceanfront lots are 50 feet, though some stretch to 80 feet of beachfront. Lauderdale Beach also has a few spectacular 100 foot lots. A 50 foot oceanfront lot is typically priced around $3.3 – $3.5 million. Oceanfront new construction carries a price tag of about $8 million. The non-oceanfront lots on Atlantic are weighing in just a little north of $1.3 million depending on the home, decreasing in price the further you go from the beach.

If NEW construction is a MUST-HAVE in your Lauderdale Beach home search, be sure to ask about the New Luxury Auberge Condos on A1A and 23rd Street. This new building complex has two towers – the first of which opened December 2018. The Auberge luxury condos will offer residents a long list of amenities, including specialty restaurants and a spa. There is also The Palms Luxury Residences which offers a variety of condos and private villas as well.
